Summer School Production Fans of musical theatre, and “Legally Blonde” are in for a treat this summer! Local youth performing arts charity, Riverside theatre company, is running another of its acclaimed summer workshops, this year working towards a final show based on the musical, which will be performed, at the end of the week, to an invited audience of friends and family. Whether you are experienced performer, or a complete novice wanting to have a go, you are guaranteed to improve your singing, acting and dance skills and have a great time! |

Sophie Pillar - Director Sophie graduated from Queen Mary’s University London, she is currently a drama teacher at St Thomas More Upper School in Bedford, where she is currently directing ‘A Fairy Bad Dream’. As an actor Sophie has performed in ‘Sweet Charity’, ‘Paint your Wagon’ and ‘Copenhagen’. |

David Beer - MD In 2009/10, David was Musical Director of the first UK tour of WE WILL ROCK YOU. He was Musical Supervisor of all West End and touring productions of FAME and SONG OF SINGAPORE at Chichester Festival Theatre and the Mayfair Theatre; also tours of A TRIBUTE TO PATSY CLINE, PIRATES OF PENZANCE and KISS ME KATE. In the West End he has been Musical Director of CATS, GUYS AND DOLLS, ME AND MY GIRL, THE RINK, I LOVE YOU YOU’RE PERFECT NOW CHANGE and BERNADETTE and on tour: HOT STUFF, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, SCROOGE, ASPECTS OF LOVE, SWEENEY TODD, AN EVENING WITH GARY WILMOT, HELLO DOLLY and BARNUM. In regional theatres around the country, he has been MD of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, SOUTH PACIFIC, THE KING AND I, OLIVER, ROCKY HORROR SHOW, GREASE, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, TOMMY and HOT STUFF. |

Sara Johnson - Choreographer Sara is well known at Riverside, both as the choreographer for both the morning and afternoon Sunday groups and running the dance academy. She has recently worked on ‘Guys and Dolls’, ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Godspell’, 'Seussical', 'Once on this Island' & '13'. |
