Led by Artistic Director and professional actor Richard Mann, Riverside offer dedicated drama workshops to craft students acting ability. Workshops include; a warm up, games, concentration exercises, improvisation, text work, physical theatre, mask work and role play. Drawing on practitioners such as David Mamet, Keith Johnston, Peter Barkworth, Peter Brook and Augusto Boal.
There is no audition for the ‘Acting Workshop' but please note that places are strictly limited to 16 students and they have to be aged 13 plus.

Each year the workshop devise and rehearse sketches; for Riverside’s Christmas Cabaret, Student Showcase and Awards Evening. They also work on a production in the summer term. In July 2008 the workshop premiered The Enchanted Labyrinth at Bedfringe (Bedfordshire’s biggest comedy, music and theatre festival). In 2009 the workshop performed a treastle mask based play High Rising which was set to music. In 2010 the workshop performed a production of Alice In Wonderland, A Christmas Carol, and filmed a 'Backstage Troubles' about a fictional theatre company - watch the trailer here... This summer they premiered their new play 'The Rather Ridiculous Experiment' at Bedfringe 2011
