Riverside's 'Acting Workshop'


Led by Artistic Director and professional actor Richard Mann, Riverside offer dedicated drama workshops to craft students acting ability. Workshops include; a warm up, games, concentration exercises, improvisation, text work, physical theatre, mask work and role play. Drawing on practitioners such as David Mamet, Keith Johnston, Peter Barkworth, Peter Brook and Augusto Boal.

There is no audition for the ‘Acting Workshop' but please note that places are strictly limited to 18 students and they have to be aged 13 plus.

Each year the workshop devise and rehearse sketches; for Riverside’s Christmas Cabaret, Student Showcase and Awards Evening. They also work on a production in the summer term. In July 2008 the workshop premiered The Enchanted Labyrinth at Bedfringe (Bedfordshire’s biggest comedy, music and theatre festival).

The workshop will next be devising 'High Rising' to be performed on the 15th July @ 7.30 at The Football Club.

Where and when?

Sessions are held every Wednesday at St Neots Football Club, Kester Way, PE19 6SL.
Dates: Wednesdays; 22nd April - 15th July (not half term). 12 weeks.
Time: 7pm to 9pm.
